Radon
Schafer provides residential and commercial radon testing conducted by an NRSB- and DORA-certified Radon Measurement Professional. Each project begins with a coordinated sampling plan that follows ANSI/AARST and CDPHE standards. Schafer uses Air Chek and Pro Chek devices for short-term testing to identify whether further testing or mitigation is needed, ensuring clients understand all testing requirements and conditions beforehand. After sampling, Schafer delivers a clear, detailed report including results, recommendations, sample locations, and certification documentation.
Radon Testing
Schafer provides residential and commercial radon testing by a radon measurement professional. Schafer’s radon measurement professional is certified by the National Radon Safety Board (NRSB) and Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies’ (DORA) Office of Radon Professionals. Our Radon Measurement Professional coordinates with the client to determine the project goals, scope of work, and sampling plan. Each developed sampling plan is consistent with the procedures in the American National Standards Institute / American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists standards (ANSI/AARST MALB-2014) and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE’s) Measuring and Mitigating Radon in Colorado.
Schafer provides and utilizes Air Chek and Pro Chek measurement devices for short term (2-to 4-day) testing for initial testing and post-mitigation testing. Initial tests help Schafer determine if additional testing or mitigation is needed. Project personnel maintain NRSB certification to operate Air Chek and Pro Chek measurement devices for testing. Schafer clearly communicates required conditions for testing with the client prior to the scheduled sampling event. If a client’s project requires compliance to other regulations or alternative testing methods, Schafer will perform necessary actions to ensure clients’ project needs are met.
After testing, Schafer will provide a report that includes recommendations, a tabulated summary of field and laboratory data, floor plans, if provided, indicating sample locations, a laboratory report, and NRSB certification. The tables will include the kit number, building level, room, test duration and date, and analytical result.
